ASR District Experiences Sharp Temperature Drop
The Araku-Sri Rangaraju (ASR) district got very cold on Wednesday.
The temperature dropped a lot in just one day.
The coldest place was G. Madugula at 2.7°C.
Other places like Munchingput and Araku Valley were also very cold.
The cold weather made fewer people visit the Borra Caves.
The expected number of visitors was much higher, but only a few came because it was too cold.
The temperatures also dropped a little in other nearby areas.
G. Madugula recorded the lowest temperature at 2.7°C.
Araku Valley's temperature dropped from 12°C to 3.6°C in 24 hours.
Other cold temperatures recorded: Munchingput 3.5°C, Paderu 4.4°C, Peda Bayulu 5.8°C.
Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema also experienced temperature drops of 1–2 degrees.
Tourism at Borra Caves was impacted, with visitor numbers significantly lower than expected.
