BRS Leaders Allege Fake Passbook Scam in Kodangal Irrigation Project

Some leaders from a political party called BRS went to a special office called the Lokayukta, which looks into complaints about government officials.

They said something unfair happened with a big water project called the Kodangal Lift Irrigation Project.

This project was supposed to help farmers get water and help people who had lost their land.

But the leaders said other people got money that was meant for the landowners who were displaced.

They said fake papers called passbooks were made to look like the land belonged to someone else.

The leaders claimed lots of money, called crores of rupees, was given to friends of some Congress party leaders.

They also said the list of displaced people was changed three times.

Even the District Collector was transferred soon after starting, which made people suspicious.

The leaders asked the Lokayukta to investigate and promised to keep fighting until the displaced landowners get justice.
