India saw a big increase in new investments in the first nine months of the financial year 2025-26.

The total investment announced was Rs 26.62 lakh crore, which is more than last year.

Andhra Pradesh got the most investments, with 25.3% of the total.

Other states like Odisha, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Gujarat also got a lot of investments.

The biggest investments were in electricity, especially renewable energy, followed by chemicals and metals.

Japanese firms also invested a lot in India in 2025, with over $9 billion in deals.

This includes big investments like MUFG's $4.4 billion in Shriram Finance.

Japan is investing in India because it sees India as a place with strong growth potential, while Japan faces economic challenges like an aging population and low growth.

The government's policies, like spending on infrastructure and lowering taxes, helped make this happen.

Experts think that as the economy improves, investments will spread to more sectors and states.
