Rajasthan CM Discusses Metro Phase-II, Water Projects with Union Ministers
The leader of Rajasthan, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, went to New Delhi to talk with important government ministers.
He discussed plans for a second part of the metro train system in Jaipur, the big city in Rajasthan.
He also talked about ways to use more green energy, like solar and wind power, and how to make the electricity system stronger.
Additionally, he spoke about water projects, including a big canal project that will bring water to eastern Rajasthan.
The Union Minister for Urban Development said he would try to approve the metro project quickly.
Both sides felt that the central government and the state government were working well together.
Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma met Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in New Delhi to discuss the Jaipur Metro Phase-II.
Khattar, who also holds portfolios for Energy and Housing & Urban Development, assured early clearance for the metro project.
Discussions also included the Green Energy Corridor and strengthening the electricity transmission system in Rajasthan.
CM Sharma also met Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil to discuss water projects, including the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project.
Both CM Sharma and Minister Khattar expressed satisfaction with the coordination between the central and state governments.
