Nagpur Pilgrims Stranded in Kathmandu Return Home Safely
A group of pilgrims from Nagpur went to Nepal to visit temples.
Flash floods near the Nepal-Tibet border made it difficult for them to return.
Most of the group stayed in Kathmandu until August 27.
They travelled by bus to Bihar and then took trains to Nagpur.
One hundred and two pilgrims arrived early Sunday morning.
Four other pilgrims reached Nagpur on Saturday.
Families welcomed the returning travellers safely.
One 72-year-old pilgrim stayed in a Kathmandu hospital after having a heart attack.
A group of 102 Nagpur pilgrims stranded in Kathmandu returned by train early Sunday morning.
Four other pilgrims from Vidarbha reached Nagpur by flight and train on Saturday.
The pilgrims had travelled to Nepal on August 19 to visit Pashupatinath temple and other sites.
They left Kathmandu by bus for Janakpur on August 28, then travelled through Danapur and Patna before boarding a train to Nagpur.
One pilgrim, 72-year-old Nirmala Pandey, remained hospitalised in Kathmandu after suffering a heart attack.
