India hosted an air exercise called Tarang Shakti in Jodhpur.

Air forces from seven countries took part, while 32 other countries sent observers.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said India should build its own defence technology and equipment.

He also said India should work with trusted countries instead of trying to do everything alone.

Countries could work together on research, manufacturing, repairs and training.

At the exercise, air forces practised working together and shared what they know.

Singh said modern warfare now involves areas such as space, cyber systems, drones and artificial intelligence.

He asked India’s Air Force to use what it learned to improve its future work.

Quotes

Rajnath Singh

India’s Defence Minister

“It is precisely in this context that an exercise like Tarang Shakti assumes special significance. It translates the broader ideas of capability, technology, interoperability and trust into operational experience. By bringing together air forces with diverse platforms and philosophies, it enables aircrews and commanders to sense, decide and act together across different languages of command.”

“For India, therefore, building strong indigenous capabilities must go hand in hand with meaningful cooperation with trusted partners. We must be capable of acting independently when required, while also being able to operate effectively with others when our interests and responsibilities converge.”
