IAF Begins Tarang Shakti 2026 Operational Phase at Jodhpur
The Indian Air Force has started a large air exercise called Tarang Shakti 2026.
It is taking place in Jodhpur.
Air forces from eight countries are joining the exercise.
They will practice working together in different air missions.
The exercise includes fighter jets, transport aircraft and refuelling planes.
The countries will share their flying and planning experience.
They will also take part in seminars, tours, sports and yoga sessions.
The exercise is intended to improve cooperation and support regional peace and security.
The Indian Air Force began the operational phase of Tarang Shakti 2026 at Jodhpur on Sunday.
The exercise runs from September 26 to October 12 and involves air forces from eight countries.
Australia, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, France, Germany, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are participating alongside India.
Participating aircraft include the F-35 Lightning II, Rafale, F-16, A400M, MRTT, C-130, C-130J and KC-30A.
The exercise focuses on joint training, interoperability, aerospace safety, operational learning and stronger military partnerships.
