L&T Wins ₹50,000 Crore West Asia Contracts in August
Larsen & Toubro, or L&T, received many large construction and energy contracts in West Asia during August.
The contracts together are worth more than ₹50,000 crore.
One new deal involves building three large battery storage projects.
These batteries will help store electricity from renewable sources and support power grids.
Together, they will hold 6 GWh of energy.
The work will also include substations and underground cables.
This was L&T’s fifth order win in August.
The company says it expects more business from West Asia, even though regional tensions and supply problems have caused some difficulties.
Larsen & Toubro won contracts worth more than ₹50,000 crore across West Asia in August.
The orders span hydrocarbon, renewable-energy and transport projects.
Its latest contract covers three battery energy storage system projects valued at ₹5,000-10,000 crore.
The projects will provide 6 GWh of storage capacity and include grid interconnections, substations and underground cables.
West Asia contributed 34% of L&T’s FY26 revenue, while 40% of its ₹7.4-lakh-crore order book came from the region as of March.
