Gold became more expensive in Delhi on Tuesday.

Its price rose by Rs 2,700 to a record Rs 1,67,100 for 10 grams.

This was gold's fourth day in a row of price increases.

The gold measured had 99.9 per cent purity.

Silver became cheaper by Rs 3,500 per kilogram.

Traders sold some silver after its price had risen for three sessions.

This selling is called profit-booking.

Gold and silver prices also fell in international markets.

However, gold in Delhi still continued its upward run.
