Navi Mumbai Event Urges Everyday Use of Marathi
Navi Mumbai held an event to celebrate Marathi.
Speaker Dr Sanjay Upadhye said that speaking Marathi can help people feel closer to one another.
He encouraged people to use it at home and in everyday conversations.
He said people should do more than celebrate the language once a year.
Mayor Sujata Patil and other city officials also spoke about the value of Marathi.
They said using the language helps keep culture and history alive.
Another event was planned for October 8, about using AI in official Marathi work.
The deadline for a Marathi slogan competition was moved to October 12.
