NMIMS Horizon Brings AI-Embedded Learning to Undergraduate Programmes
SVKM’s NMIMS Horizon Expands AI-Embedded Learning to Undergraduate Education · theprint.in

A big university in India called NMIMS is teaching its students about Artificial Intelligence, or AI, which helps computers think and solve problems.

The university already offered AI learning to its management students through a programme named NMIMS Horizon.

Now, starting on 3 August 2026, it is giving the same opportunity to its undergraduate students.

About 40,000 students will be able to use online lessons from a website called Coursera without paying any extra money.

Students who study engineering, science, pharmacy, and commerce will all learn how AI can help in their subjects.

This is not just watching videos alone — teachers will guide the students with assignments, projects, and tests.

The university's teachers are also taking special training so they can help students learn AI better.

The students' AI work will count toward their grades, just like their other classes.

The university wants its graduates to be ready for jobs in a world where AI is changing how industries work.

“The real value of AI lies in its ability to solve practical problems across disciplines. Through NMIMS Horizon, students will apply AI concepts within their own domains through structured learning, faculty mentorship, projects and academic assessments. By integrating these courses into the curriculum, we are enabling students to develop practical competencies that complement their academic learning and prepare them to address real‑world industry challenges.”
