KMC Hospital ambulance awareness rally traverses Mangaluru streets
Ambulances are special vehicles that carry sick or hurt people to the hospital fast.
In the city of Mangaluru, a hospital and the traffic police held a rally to teach people about giving ambulances space on the road.
A big group of more than fifty ambulance and auto drivers took part.
The rally started at KMC Hospital and travelled through many parts of the city before coming back.
A senior police officer named Mithun H.N. started the rally and said that when an ambulance comes with its siren and lights on, every second matters.
Giving way to an ambulance can decide how quickly a patient gets the care they need.
The hospital also said thank you to the First Responders who helped bring patients to the hospital in time.
The hospital's emergency and ambulance services are open 24 hours a day, so people can always call for help.
KMC Hospital Mangaluru and Mangaluru City Traffic Police organized an ambulance awareness rally on 13 August 2026.
Mithun H.N. (IPS), DCP Law and Order, Mangaluru City Police, flagged off the rally at KMC Hospital, Dr. B R Ambedkar Circle.
The rally passed through Clock Tower, Surathkal, Pumpwell, Netravathi Bridge and other Mangaluru streets before returning to KMC Hospital.
Over fifty ambulance and auto drivers joined, and PSI Vijay Kumar presented road-safety guidelines during the event.
KMC Hospital honoured First Responders and urged citizens to keep ambulance corridors clear and save the ambulance number 0824 222 2227.
