Two MLAs suspended for Assam winter session
Two members of the opposition in the Assam Assembly were suspended for the rest of the winter session.
This happened because a committee found that one MLA, Nurul Huda, attacked the Deputy Speaker, and another MLA, Sherman Ali Ahmed, used bad words against him.
The suspension was recommended by a committee and approved by the Assembly, even though the Congress party, which the MLAs belong to, disagreed.
