India Pushes Electric Mobility for Energy Security
EVs Key to Energy Security, Import Cut and Tech Self-Reliance, Says Kishan Reddy · deccanchronicle.com

India’s Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy said electric cars and buses are not just a cleaner way to drive, but also a smart move to keep the country safe from oil price changes and to grow its own technology.

He told people that the government will help build cars, batteries, charging stations, and teach people how to work in the EV field.

The first electric bus made by a local company was handed over in Hyderabad, showing that India can make its own clean transport.

The government also wants to make sure India has enough minerals like lithium and cobalt for batteries, so it started a big program that will spend a lot of money to find these minerals.

Telangana, especially the city of Hyderabad, is becoming a place where many people work on electric cars, chips, and other electronics, and India already makes most of its own phones and many jobs are created in this industry.
