Elephant Attacks Kill One, Injure Three in Chhattisgarh

Later, another man named Rajesh Dhuri was badly injured when the same elephant attacked him near his house.

The attacks occurred in Khaprikhol and Dhuripara villages, with the elephant being separated from its herd for over a week.
The injured were taken to hospitals in Bilaspur, and the deceased's family received an initial compensation of Rs 25,000.
Human-elephant conflicts have been a significant issue in Chhattisgarh, with around 320 deaths in the last five years.
