BJP Demands CBI Probe in KPSC Recruitment Scam
The BJP in Karnataka wants the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or a high court judge to investigate a recruitment scam involving veterinary officers.
The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) has already put the final selection list on hold and is looking into the matter internally.
The BJP says an internal inquiry isn't enough and wants a more thorough investigation.
The allegations were brought to light after a complaint was lodged and an FIR was registered earlier this month.
The BJP alleges a Rs 400 crore scam and questions the state government's reluctance to hand over the case to the CBI.
The Karnataka Home Minister has stated that the cases have been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
