The Karnataka Examinations Authority has opened a new chance for some students to give up their medical or dental seats.

Students can use this option between September 17 and September 20, 2026.

Some students received seats through both MCC and KEA and may want to keep only their MCC seat.

Other students may cancel a KEA seat even if they did not receive an MCC seat.

The rules in the counselling bulletin will decide whether they can surrender their seats.

Seats that are given up will be offered again in the third counselling round.

In Round 2, KEA allotted 8,772 MBBS seats and 2,466 BDS seats.

Students should check cancellation and forfeiture rules before making a decision.
