J-K Launches Rs 14 Crore Heritage Restoration Projects
Jammu and Kashmir has started work to restore two important spiritual places in Samba district.
These places are Purmandal and Uttarbehni.
The projects together will cost about Rs 14 crore.
Workers will repair temples, pathways, lighting and other old structures.
The work will use modern conservation methods and traditional designs.
Better facilities may make it easier for pilgrims and tourists to visit.

A new Ved Pathshala is also planned at Purmandal.

Purmandal’s heritage restoration and revival works will cost Rs 7.15 crore.
Renovation and restoration at Uttarbehni will cost an estimated Rs 6.85 crore.
The projects aim to improve access, preserve temples and strengthen spiritual tourism.
Officials said heritage tourism could benefit local handicrafts, hospitality, transport, food businesses and artisans.
