Karnataka, a state in India, has received a lot of money from foreign countries to start new businesses and projects.

This money, called Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), totals ₹1.91 lakh crore over the last two and a half years.

The government has approved 93 new projects with this money, which could create around 8.76 lakh jobs.

The state has also received many project proposals, and some of them have already been completed, creating thousands of jobs.

The government wants to make sure that these new businesses help people in all parts of Karnataka, not just the big city of Bengaluru.

They have divided the state into three zones to encourage investment in areas that need it the most.

Additionally, Karnataka hosted 28 Japanese companies to explore opportunities to expand their Global Capability Centres in the state.

These companies are interested in areas like electronics, semiconductor materials, and advanced manufacturing.

The state's strong technology ecosystem and semiconductor expertise make it an attractive destination for these companies.
