Rana Sisters Arrested for Extortion in Goregaon
Two sisters, Parul and Nidhi Rana, were arrested for allegedly extorting ₹1.5 crore from a famous lawyer named Rajeev Ranjan.
The lawyer had helped them with money for a medical emergency and a trip to Bali.
After the trip, the sisters started demanding more money and threatened to share private photos and make false accusations if he didn't pay.
The lawyer's family also got involved in the demands.
The court sent the sisters to police custody until December 15.
The other family members and a friend got special permission to avoid arrest.

Parul and Nidhi Rana were remanded to police custody until December 15, while their parents and a friend secured anticipatory bail.
