Duplantis Breaks Record, Threatens World Athletics Party

Armand Duplantis, a pole vaulter, broke his own world record in Tokyo.

This was his 14th time breaking the record.

He won the gold medal and received prize money.

The president of World Athletics joked that if Duplantis breaks the record again, the staff's Christmas party might be canceled!

Another highlight was the men's 800m final, and the record holder from 2012 was in attendance.

The event saw many spectators stay to watch the historic vault.

The record was 6.30 meters.
