A national kabaddi tournament organized by POWERGRID has started in Hyderabad.
Twelve teams are taking part in the competition.
The teams are made up of 144 POWERGRID employees.

North Eastern Region won the closest game by just one point.
Northern Region-III had the biggest win, beating Eastern Region-II 46–17.
The tournament will last three days and continue through September 6.
POWERGRID organized the event with the Kabaddi Association of Telangana.
The POWERGRID Inter-Regional Kabaddi Tournament 2026 opened in Hyderabad with six matches.
North Eastern Region narrowly defeated Corporate Centre 47–46 in the closest match.
Southern Region-I, Northern Region-III, Western Region-II, Northern Region-II and Western Region-I also won.
The three-day tournament will continue through September 6 at Firefox Sports & Resorts in Moinabad.
