Mahindra creates Real Estate & Hospitality sector, names new CEO
Mahindra, a very big company, has decided to put its house-building business and its holiday-time business into one new team.
This change was announced on August 10, 2026.
A man named Amit Kumar Sinha will be the leader of this new team.
He was already the leader of the house-building business.
That house-building business has grown a lot, selling five times more homes than it did a few years ago.
The holiday business has more than 300,000 members who enjoy vacation stays.
It added more than 1,700 new rooms in the last five years.
It also just started a fancy new resort brand called Mahindra Signature Resorts.
The company's big boss, Dr. Anish Shah, said combining the two will help them work together and grow faster.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd announced a new Real Estate & Hospitality sector combining two businesses, along with a new CEO.
Amit Kumar Sinha, current MD and CEO of Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd (MLDL), will lead the new sector once a successor at MLDL is appointed.
The sector brings together Mahindra Lifespaces, the real estate arm, and Mahindra Holidays, the hospitality business.
Mahindra Lifespaces grew residential pre-sales five-fold since FY20, from about ₹700 crore to ₹3,500 crore, with gross development value rising to ₹50,000 crore.
Mahindra Holidays has over three lakh vacation ownership members, added more than 1,700 rooms in five years, and launched Mahindra Signature Resorts in luxury hospitality.
