Chhattisgarh NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Registration Begins Today

Every year, students in India who want to become doctors or dentists take a big test called NEET UG.

After the test, they need to pick a medical college to study at.

In the state of Chhattisgarh, a government office called the Directorate of Medical Education helps with this step.

On August 9, 2026, the office opened the first round of registration for the 2026 counselling process.

There are 3,575 seats available — 2,875 for MBBS, which is training to be a doctor, and 700 for BDS, which is training to be a dentist.

Students must register online and pay a fee by August 16.

They must also fill in their favourite college choices and lock them by August 17.

A list of selected students will be published on August 18.

Final seat allotment results come out on August 20.

Students who get seats must visit their colleges between August 21 and 27 to confirm their admission.
