Many devotees are expected to visit Trimbakeshwar during the holy Shravan month.

Girish Mahajan told officials to make the pilgrimage safer and more comfortable.

Health teams will be placed along the Brahmagiri route used on Shravan Mondays.

Toilets, clean surroundings and direction signs will also be provided.

An ambulance and a health team will wait at Gangadwar for emergencies.

Parking areas will have water, electricity, toilets and medical support.

The administration says it has carefully planned how to manage the crowds.

A temporary tent will provide space for about 5,000 devotees.
