Switzerland Leads Global Ranking for Monthly Take-Home Pay

The ranking compares how much workers keep each month after estimated deductions.

Switzerland is in first place, with workers taking home about $8,282 monthly.

Iceland is second, but its figure is much lower than Switzerland’s.

Luxembourg, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands follow.

The United States ranks sixth with estimated take-home pay of $4,638.

Several other countries, including Norway, Australia, Denmark and Ireland, are also in the top 10.

Germany has a lower take-home amount despite having high estimated deductions.

Mexico and Colombia are at the bottom of the comparison.

The gap between Switzerland and Colombia is nearly 13 times.
