Cyberabad Corporation Clears 290 Encroachments to Reclaim Public Spaces
In a city called Hyderabad, some people had built or placed things on roads and footpaths where they were not supposed to.
These are called encroachments, and they can block people from walking safely.
The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation, which is the group that takes care of the city, decided to clean these areas.
They did this on a Friday as part of a weekly program called 'walk free.'
In one day, they cleared 290 encroachments across a very long stretch of 14.1 kilometers.
The work happened in three different zones: Serilingampally, Kukatpally and Quthbullapur.
The teams removed the most encroachments, about 150, in the Quthbullapur zone.
All this cleaning helps give the roads and footpaths back to people who walk.
The corporation says it will keep watching these areas so nobody builds on them again.
The goal is to keep roads and footpaths clear, accessible and safer for everyone.
The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation removed 290 encroachments across 14.1 km on Friday as part of its weekly 'walk free' drive.
84 encroachments were cleared in the Serilingampally zone covering Narsingi, Ameenpur, Miyapur and Serilingampally.
55 encroachments were removed in the Kukatpally zone covering Madhapur, Allwyn Colony, Kukatpally and Moosapet.
Around 150 encroachments were removed in the Quthbullapur zone covering Chintal, Jeedimetla, Kompally, Gajularamaram, Nizampet, Dundigal and Medchal.
CMC teams will continue monitoring cleared stretches to prevent re-encroachment and keep reclaimed public spaces available for public use.
