Kartavya Bhavan-3 saves 76% electricity, 49% water: MoHUA
There is a big new government office building in New Delhi, India, called Kartavya Bhavan-3.
It is part of a big project to rebuild the government area called the Central Vista.
This building is special because it uses much less electricity and water than older buildings.
It uses 76% less electricity, which saves nearly 4.45 lakh units every month.
It also uses 49% less fresh water by cleaning and reusing about 3 lakh litres of water every day.
That is why the government calls it a zero-discharge campus.
India's leader, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, opened the building on August 6 last year.
It is the first of ten new government office buildings, and three are already open.
The government says the building shows how new India wants to be modern, clean, and good for the environment.
