Khadakwasla Dam Release Sparks Pune Flood Alert

The Khadakwasla Dam in Pune was forced to let out more water because it was filling up from a lot of rain.

The water was released at a rate of about 45,000 cubic feet per second, which is a lot.

Because of this, the government put a Red Alert on the Pune area, telling people to stay away from the river.

Some houses in Ekta Nagar got flooded and about 40 families had to move to safer places.

The same thing happened at another dam in Kolhapur, which also let out water.

Officials are watching the situation closely and are ready to help if more people need to leave their homes.
