Sports Help Lawyers Manage Stress at Andhra Pradesh Tournament
More than 300 lawyers are taking part in a badminton tournament in Vijayawada.
The event lasts two days and includes several kinds of matches.
S Bharani, a sports official, opened the tournament.
She said playing sports can help lawyers feel healthier and deal with stress.
She also said she would try to arrange more sports activities for workers in different jobs.
The organisers said they hoped to hold more sports and cultural programmes.
S Latha and Lekha Tejaswi reached the women’s singles final.
Other event finals were scheduled for Sunday.
Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh vice-chairman and managing director S Bharani inaugurated the two-day NRI Cup State-level Advocates Shuttle Tournament in Vijayawada.
More than 300 advocates are competing in singles, doubles, mixed doubles and 50-plus doubles.
Bharani said sports can help lawyers cope with physical and mental stress and support overall well-being.
She said she would work to organise more sports activities for lawyers and employees from different professions.
Women’s singles finalists are BBA advocate S Latha and Lekha Tejaswi of Bhimavaram; further finals were scheduled for Sunday.
