NBEMS to Release NEET PG 2026 City Intimation Slip Today
Every year in India, students who want to become specialist doctors take a big test called NEET PG.
This year, the test will be held on August 30, 2026.
Before the test, students receive a slip telling them which city they will take the test in, so they can plan their travel.
This city intimation slip will be released on August 11.
The real ticket to enter the test, called an admit card, comes later on August 27 and shows the exact exam centre.
More than 273,000 students have signed up for this year's test, which is a lot more than last year.
The test has 180 questions split into five parts, and each part must be answered within 42 minutes before it gets locked.
The exam is for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses in medical colleges across the country.
After the test, results are expected by the end of September, and then students can register for medical courses.
NBEMS released the NEET PG 2026 city intimation slip on August 11, 2026, available at natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in.
The slip tells candidates their allotted examination city only, not the exact venue; it is not the admit card.
The exam will be held August 30, 2026, as a single-shift, computer-based test across 340 cities at more than 1,300 centres.
A total of 2,73,183 candidates registered for NEET PG 2026, a 12.5% increase over the previous year.
The paper was reduced to 180 MCQs and 720 marks in five time-locked 42-minute sections; results are due by September 30, though one article lists September 3.
