BSNL Announces Independence Day Offers, Expands Indigenous 4G Network
BSNL is a big phone company in India.
It is adding new 4G towers so more people can use fast mobile internet.
It is doing this for the 80th Independence Day celebration.
New customers can get a plan for only one rupee.
This plan gives them data, texts, and free phone calls for 24 days.
People can also get a home internet plan with lots of data and fast speeds.
BSNL made a new app so customers can pay bills and get help easily.
The app also lets people watch about 500 TV channels for free.
BSNL is working with Polycab to build phone equipment in India.
This helps India make its own technology and connect more people.
BSNL announced Independence Day offers including the Re 1 Freedom 2.0 plan, offering 1 GB data per day, 100 SMS per day and unlimited voice calls with 24 days validity.
BSNL ordered over 602 additional 4G Base Transceiver Stations for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, in addition to 2,247 sites already planned.
Of the planned sites, 1,757 4G BTS in J&K and 343 in Ladakh have already been commissioned, expanding coverage across urban, rural and remote areas.
The company launched a fibre freedom plan at Rs 1,111 per month with speeds up to 200 Mbps, 5,000 GB monthly data and access to more than 25 premium OTT platforms.
BSNL partnered with Polycab to manufacture telecom and networking equipment in India under the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
