Modi’s Vadodara Public Event Draws 42,000-Person Waiting List

People registered through BookMyShow, a private online platform.
Those with seats will use digital tickets and QR codes to enter.

He will also dedicate important freight railway sections and flag off trains.
After Vadodara, he will travel to Mumbai for the Global Fintech Fest 2026.
More than 42,000 people joined the waiting list after all available seats for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Vadodara programme were booked within an hour.
The Vadodara Municipal Corporation used BookMyShow for public registration, marking the first use of a private digital platform for participation in a Prime Minister’s programme.
Registered attendees will receive M-Tickets with live QR codes, with digital systems managing verification, entry and seating.
Modi will launch or dedicate development projects worth more than Rs 35,000 crore during his September 8 visit to Gujarat and Maharashtra.
The programme includes the dedication of three Western Dedicated Freight Corridor sections covering 326 route kilometres and costing more than Rs 20,700 crore.
