Haryana Transfers Rs 1,890 Crore to 50 Lakh Beneficiaries
Haryana gave money directly to the bank accounts of people eligible for government help.
The total payment was Rs 1,890.16 crore for more than 50 lakh people.
The money came through a system called Direct Benefit Transfer.
It covered 26 different government schemes.
Some money went to women through the Lado Lakshmi scheme.
Some went to older people and people with disabilities as pensions.
Farmers, homemakers and entrepreneurs also received support through different schemes.
The government said the system is meant to make payments transparent and timely.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini transferred Rs 1,890.16 crore to 50,28,208 beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer.
The payments covered 26 schemes, including pensions, farmer compensation, gas subsidies and entrepreneur incentives.
The 11th instalment of the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana provided Rs 212.16 crore to 10.10 lakh women.
Under 15 social security pension schemes, Rs 1,129.05 crore was transferred to 35,06,841 beneficiaries.
The Lado Lakshmi scheme’s annual family-income eligibility will rise from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.80 lakh from September 17.
