Heavy Rains Narrow Telangana Monsoon Deficit
Heavy rain fell across Telangana on a Thursday, helping the state catch up on the water it needed for the monsoon.
The rain caused traffic jams in Hyderabad, so the police told people to work from home after 2 pm.
Schools were also asked to hold online classes on July 31 to keep kids safe.
In the city, the University of Hyderabad area got about 18 mm of rain.
The state revenue minister said the rain is now close to normal levels.

Tapalpur (Mancherial) received 163 mm and Kolvai (Jagtial) 149.5 mm of rain; Hyderabad’s University area got 18.5 mm.
