CPI leaders in Tirupati demand transformer, sewage cleaning

Some grown-ups from a political group called the Communist Party of India walked around a neighbourhood called Lenin Nagar.

They wanted to talk about problems in their town.

The town sometimes loses electricity, which means lights and fans stop working.

There is also a drain that is blocked and could overflow with dirty water.

They asked the government to put in a new, stronger machine called a transformer to help electricity stay on.

They also asked for the clogged drain to be cleaned quickly.

The leaders said the government promised things during elections but did not do them.

They said the government promised to stop high prices and corruption and to create jobs.

They also said land was promised to people but never given.

The leaders believe people should be treated fairly, and they want the town to be clean and safe.
