Himanta thanks Vantara Foundation for animal rescue in flood-hit Assam

Big floods are happening in a place called Assam in India.

The flood water has hurt many people and also many animals.

A man named Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is the leader of Assam, wanted to help the animals.

He said thank you to a group called the Vantara Foundation.

The Vantara Foundation gave special animal rescue teams and animal ambulances to help save the animals.

More than ten lakh farm animals, like cows and goats, have been affected by the floods.

That is a very, very big number.

Many wild animals were also washed away by the flood water, and some are still missing.

The leader said saving animals during disasters is very important, even if people do not always talk about it.

He also thanked Anant Ambani for being kind and thoughtful.
