Shark Tank India Pitches Rejected Despite Revenue
Two groups of friends appeared on Shark Tank India to ask for money to help their companies.
The first group, Tanishk, Astha, and Pawanjot, wanted Rs 1 crore for their companies Ayuvya and ImFresh, which together are worth Rs 200 crore.
The second person, Nikunj, wanted Rs 75 lakhs for his wrestling fan community business, Wrestlefanent, which is worth Rs 7.5 crore.
Even though their companies make good money, the judges didn't invest because they had concerns about their ads and other things.
One judge, Kunal Bahl, told them to build trust first.
Nikunj had been trying to get on the show for four years and was called a 'mad man' by Aman Gupta.
Three entrepreneurs, Tanishk Pandey, Astha Jain, and Pawanjot Kaur, pitched their brands Ayuvya and ImFresh on Shark Tank India.
They sought Rs 1 crore for 0.5% equity in their companies, which have a collective valuation of Rs 200 crore.
Despite their companies generating Rs 51 crore in revenue, the sharks rejected their pitch due to concerns about their ads and other issues.
Kunal Bahl advised them to build trust first before seeking investment.
Nikunj Walia, founder of Wrestlefanent, also pitched on Shark Tank India, seeking Rs 75 lakhs for 10% equity in his company valued at Rs 7.5 crore.
