King Cobra Found in Mumbai Congress Office, Rescued and Released

Mhatre caught the snake, placed it in a glass container, and shared a video on X requesting an authorised rescue team from the Maharashtra Forest Department.
After waiting hours with no response from officials, Mhatre released the snake into a nearby mangrove forest, its natural habitat.
In a separate incident last week, a reported snake on a Mumbai local train's ladies' coach caused a 12-minute halt at Thane station.
Railway authorities have not officially confirmed whether a snake was actually found inside the train coach.
