Jharkhand bandh over student lathi-charge affects several districts

Many students in a state called Jharkhand were upset.

A political group called the BJP asked for a special day where shops and buses would stop, called a bandh.

On that day, many shops closed and roads were blocked in different towns.

In the city of Ranchi, students from the ABVP group marched to the government building, but the police stopped them and took them away.

Many people now want the state government to explain what happened and keep exams fair for everyone.
