The Cricket Association of Bengal is checking whether young cricketers’ age documents are accurate.

One player, Arun Kumar Chaurasiya, reportedly had records that differed by 115 months.

That is more than nine and a half years.

The issue was linked to the 2023-24 Under-19 season.

Dozens of other players are also being examined.

Players with irregular documents cannot register or transfer for two future seasons.

Former India Under-19 World Cup winner Ravi Kumar was flagged for a smaller discrepancy.

Rohit Yadav was banned for two years after officials found several birth certificates and differing Aadhaar records.
