Two Apprehended After Nepalese Cook Murdered in Rajendranagar
A 23-year-old cook from Nepal was killed in Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.
His name was Nagendra Majhi.
He went outside his home late on August 24 to smoke.
When he did not come back, his wife searched for him.
She found him injured on a roadside around 1 a.m.
on August 25.
Police said two people attacked him and took his mobile phone.
Investigators studied CCTV cameras and other technical evidence to find them.
Police arrested a 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old juvenile.
Rajendranagar police apprehended Mohammed Sufiyan Sohil Farash, 21, and a 17-year-old juvenile in connection with the killing.
The victim, 23-year-old Nepalese national Nagendra Majhi, worked as a Chinese cook at Chopstick Hotel in Attapur.
Majhi went outside his residence around 11 p.m. on August 24 and was later found with a head injury near an under-construction site.
Police said the accused allegedly assaulted Majhi, stole his mobile phone and fled on a scooter.
Investigators used CCTV footage and technical evidence to trace the accused and recovered the missing phone.
