Navy Chief Highlights Viksit Bharat Vision at Independence Day Parade
Every year, India celebrates its Independence Day.
This year was the 80th one.
People in the navy had a special parade for the celebration.
A very important navy leader named Vice-Admiral Sanjay Bhalla watched the parade and checked that everything was perfect.
He said the navy is working to make India a great country by the year 2047.
He thanked the sailors for working hard and being ready to protect India.
Before the parade, the navy did a special ceremony at a war memorial.
They remembered the brave sailors who fought in a war in 1971.
They stood quietly for two minutes to honour them.
In the evening, the navy band played happy songs for everyone to enjoy.
Vice-Admiral Sanjay Bhalla, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command, reviewed the ceremonial parade in Visakhapatnam on the 80th Independence Day.
He underscored India's journey towards the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision and the Indian Navy's contribution to realising it.
The Vice-Admiral commended the Command's operational tempo, combat readiness, coastal security measures and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations.
A wreath-laying ceremony was held at the 'Victory at Sea' War Memorial honouring heroes of the 1971 Indo-Pak War, with Vice-Admiral K. Srinivas laying a floral wreath.
The ENC band performed a musical evening at the Kursura Submarine Museum featuring martial music, patriotic melodies and popular tunes.
