NDA Fast-Tracking Development, Says Ram Mohan Naidu
A very important leader in India, Mr. Ram Mohan Naidu, visited Srikakulam in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
His job is to take care of airports and planes for the whole country.
He opened new buildings and started new projects to help the people living there.
These projects cost about 11 crore rupees, which is a very large amount of money.
One of the projects helps bring water to farm fields so farmers can grow more food.
Mr. Naidu also spoke about a big new airport that was finished very quickly.
He said the government wants to make life better for people in the area.
Another leader, Mr. Kinjarapu Atchannaidu, said the government has kept most of its promises.
These promises include bigger pensions for elderly people and free bus rides for women.
The leaders said these projects will bring many new jobs to the state.
Union civil aviation minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu said the early completion and inauguration of Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram reflected the NDA coalition government's commitment to fast-tracking infrastructure.
He inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development works worth around Rs 11 crore in Gara mandal and Srikakulam city, Andhra Pradesh.
The works included the Rs 2.55-crore Kalingapatnam Lift Irrigation Scheme, roads, central lighting, an electricity substation, an irrigation department office and drainage works.
Naidu expressed confidence that long-pending projects such as Mulapeta Port and the Rs 641-crore Neradi Barrage Project would bring economic and irrigation benefits to Srikakulam district.
State agriculture minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu said the government had fulfilled most of its welfare promises, citing enhanced pensions, assistance to farmers and fishermen, free bus travel for women and free LPG cylinders.
