Bengal Kidnappers Threaten Organ Sale Over Ransom; Police Rescue Victim

The next day, callers said they had kidnapped him.

Bijoy’s family contacted Santipur police.
Police worked with Midnapore police and stopped the vehicle carrying him.
Bijoy was rescued safely, and two alleged kidnappers were arrested.
A youth from Nadia allegedly was kidnapped while travelling to Odisha for work.
The alleged kidnappers demanded Rs 5 lakh from his family for his release.
They reportedly threatened to sell his organs if the ransom was not paid.
Santipur and West Midnapore police rescued the youth unharmed during a vehicle interception.
Two alleged suspects, Sheikh Sahil and Rabiul Gayen, were arrested and questioned.
