Norway says trade with India up on first anniversary of TEPA trade pact · wionews.com

India and Norway made a trade agreement with three other European countries.

The agreement started on 1 October 2025.

Norway says businesses are already showing more interest in trading with India.

Norwegian salmon became cheaper to import because its tariff fell to zero.

As a result, salmon shipments to India increased sharply.

Other Norwegian seafood may become more common as its tariffs fall.

The agreement also aims to encourage investment and create jobs in India.

Officials will meet in New Delhi to discuss how the agreement is working.
