NTPC Khargone Hosts Vendor Development Programme for SC/ST Entrepreneurs
A big power company called NTPC Khargone held a special event in Sanawad, Madhya Pradesh to help small business owners from the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities.
The event was called an Entrepreneur Awareness and Special Vendor Development Programme.
It teaches small businesses how to sell their goods and services to NTPC.
The programme was opened by the head of the project, Keshab Chandra Singha Roy.

The programme was inaugurated by NTPC Khargone Head of Project Keshab Chandra Singha Roy, in the presence of Head of HR Pratibha Singh and Head of Contracts and Materials Vijay Mohanlal Solanki.
Aspiring SC/ST entrepreneurs attended alongside representatives from the Ministry of MSME, National SC-ST Hub (NSSH), District Trade and Industry Centre (DTIC), banks, DICCI and other stakeholder organisations.
Roy highlighted NTPC's commitment to promoting procurement from SC/ST-owned MSEs in line with the Government of India's MSME policy.
Sessions covered vendor registration, procurement policies, government support schemes, financial assistance and digital procurement platforms, with experts from GeM, State Bank of India and Bank of India.
