Balapur Ganesh Laddu Sets Record Rs 39 Lakh Auction
Hyderabad finished its Ganesh celebrations with large processions and idol immersions.
The famous Balapur Ganesh laddu was auctioned on September 25, 2026.
Sama Praneeth Reddy won it by offering Rs 39 lakh.
This was a new record and was Rs 4 lakh more than last year’s winning bid.
The laddu weighed 21 kilograms and was treated as sacred prasadam.

The 21-kg laddu auction began at Rs 1,116 and was conducted by the Balapur Ganesh Utsav Samithi.
Hyderabad’s Ganesh immersion processions included the Balapur Shobha Yatra and the 69-foot Khairatabad Ganesh idol.
Police imposed traffic restrictions and deployed security measures as thousands of devotees attended the processions.
