Wahdat-e-Islami Hind is planning a public meeting in Mumbai about four serious social problems.

These problems are suicide, the killing of unborn or newborn girls, drug abuse and pollution.

The meeting will take place on Saturday, August 29, at Islam Gymkhana in Marine Lines.

It is part of a 15-day campaign being held in many parts of India.

Different experts and community leaders will speak about these issues.

Sunita Aralikar will discuss protecting and empowering girls.

She became an activist after surviving a terrible incident when she was a baby.

The organisers want people to respond to these problems with compassion, responsibility and practical action.
