Chhattisgarh Declares Dry Day on Janmashtami
The government of Chhattisgarh in India has decided to have a dry day on September 4, which is the festival of Janmashtami.
This means all shops that sell alcohol, like liquor stores and bars, will be closed.
Additionally, slaughterhouses and meat shops in cities will also be closed.
The Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai, made this announcement on social media.
He asked people to celebrate the festival with respect and harmony.
The decision was made because of a request by the School Education Minister, Gajendra Yadav.
